In 2015, many users of the Clayton Homes retail sites had switched to browsing on mobile devices rather than desktop computers. We needed to convert hundreds of retail sites to mobile-friendly responsive design before 'Mobilegheddon" hit in April 2015.
The threat of Clayton's SEO ranking dropping on our most important sites was a good way to sell this project. This prototype was used to demonstrate how great and "app-like" an in-browser site could look and feel.
Our SEO efforts were not affected by mobilegheddon and users could easily shop for homes on lots near them through their mobile devices.
